Heartfelt Creations - Life is Good

Aloha from the wonderful island of Hawaii!   You may have guessed - I am still on vacation and this card is just appropriate for the occasion!    Heartfelt Creations really outdid themselves with this fabulous Monkeying Around Collection!   I decided to use the Relaxin' Monkeys Stamp Set.

It's rare that I do not use the fabulous die that come with Heartfelt Creations - but I was practicing one of my classes from Kit and Clowder and I couldn't resist having this little guy relaxing so much that he forgot that the waves are coming in!  LOL    I know - I should have had him back on the grass a little and could have showcased the wonderful tropical trees and monkey and flowers -   but as I said...   I couldn't resist the ocean waves.   I promise to use the die next week!

Relaxin' Monkeys Cling Stamp Set, HCPC-3780
Card Stock - White HCPP2-451
Acrylic Block Set, SUAH05
Stamp Mat Pad, SMP001
Memento Tuxedo Black Ink Pad, TSMP900
Memento Rich Cocoa Ink Pad, TSMP800
Scor-Pal Measuring & Scoring Board, 173842

Cocoa card stock, X-Press It Blending Card Stock,  double sided tape, acrylic paint, small paintbrush, Copic Alcohol Ink Markers,  paper trimmer, sponge dauber, 70% alcohol, scrap of terry cloth.

Cut an 11 x 8 1/2 inch white card stock at 4 1/2 inches using portrait orientation. Score at 5 1/2 inches to create  a top-folding card.    Cut a base layer from a dark brown card stock measuring 4 inches x 5 1/4 inches and adhere to the card base.

Stamp the Relaxin' Monkey image using Memento Tuxedo black Dye Ink on some Copic compatible paper.  I used X-Press It.   The image was colored using the following color combos -
Monkey E40, E41, E43, E44, Ef9, R20, R22 and texturized 70% alcohol and terry cloth.
Straw Hat - Y23, Y35, YR24 and texturized with 70$ alcohol and terry cloth.
Straw umbrella, B24, B21, Y03, Y00, R20, R21,
Wood chair - E50, E51, E54, E49,
Sky and water- B29, B18, B16, B14, B00, B000,
Sand - E83, E53, E52, E50,
White Caps and wave foam - white acrylic paint.

The white caps and waves were applied with  white  acrylic and a small brush.   Texture was applied to the money with 70% alcohol and a scrap of terry cloth.

Trim the focal image to 3 3/4 x 5 inches.  Sponge the edges with Memento Rich Cocoa Dye Ink and adhere the focal image to the brown layer.  Many members of our community ask for clean and simple cards -    So here is a  clean and simple card that  can easily go through standard  mail.

I hope you liked this little card.   I enjoyed using this wonderful Heartfelt Creations Monkeying Around Collection so much!   I hope you stop by and check out the wonderful monkey stamp and die sets!

Have a great day and keep crafting!
